29 Minutes Of Fame
29 Minutes of FameĀ was a comedy panel show that aired on BBC 1 in 2005. In the words of host Bob Mortimer it “examined the famously famous” in a raft of games based around the broad world of celebrity. Bob was joined each week by regulars Jo Brand, Sean Lock and Alistair McGowan and various stars from the world of TV and comedy to work out the connections between random famous people, explain bizarre statistics, choose guests for an imaginary party and suggest how leading figures might look in a “moment of passion”. Panelists included comedy giants like Stephen Fry, Eddie Izzard and Matt Lucas as well as household name TV stars such as Debbie McGee, Carol Smillie and Ricky Tomlinson.
